Over the course of the weekend Philip will run small group sessions for each section of the band. This will be a great opportunity for players to get coaching on their technique, improve their musicality and learn new rhythms.
During the small group sessions Philip will be teaching the band part of a new song called Carioca Groove. At the end of each day we will have a session for the entire bateria to play the whole song as a group. On the Saturday night the bateria session will be led by Philip, then on the Sunday night Philip will coach Ian and Alex to lead the new piece so that we can take it forward in the next season.
