I’m really sorry I didn’t make it out this week. While I was on my way to practice, I stopped in the library and got side-tracked by the awesome surprise free jazz-funk performance going on there. By the time I got out of that musical trance, it was too late to come to rehearsal. I do intend on coming regularly, and that should start that next week.

I’m new to Halifax, and I’d like to join your samba group. I’ve been looking to join a samba group for a very long time now, so I’m very excited to have found your group!
Can I come this Saturday? Have you started up this season already or is it still too cold?
I imagine you’re rehearsing outside? I just want to make sure I come dressed properly.
